About
Tin Roof is a live music bar and restaurant at 300 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh's Glenwood South district. The idea behind it is to give musicians somewhere to perform and somewhere to relax between sets. The ground floor has a bar, seating and a stage, and a second-floor rooftop patio has its own bar. Weeknights and early weekend evenings bring original songwriter nights and acoustic dinner sets, while weekend nights feature live bands playing familiar covers downstairs and a DJ on the roof until last call. The venue books local, regional and national acts across genres, including free shows in a Nashville country concert series. The kitchen serves what it calls "Better Than Bar Food" such as tenders, wings and smash burgers, and football games play all season. Groups can book the two-level space for parties.
