About
Constance Welsh, who taught drama and worked as a director and actress, founded Davidson Community Players (DCP) in 1965. The group produces theater meant to entertain, enrich and draw the community into the dramatic arts, and it gives priority to local talent, inclusion and affordable access. DCP leads with education, running ongoing classes, workshops and camps for youth and adults, and it is a place where audience members can also find their way onto the stage. Its productions include musicals such as White Christmas.
