Nearly two dozen printmakers from in and around Asheville show work about resilience in this group exhibition hosted at Mars Landing Arts Center. The prints deal with repair, hope and growth, whether tied to Hurricane Helene or to other personal loss. In their statement the artists write, “The struggle is not the end of the story, but an unexpected space where beauty can take root, mirroring life around us.” Artists include Angela Modzelewski, Anne Bessac, Beatriz Coll, Gwen Diehn, Jean McLaughlin, Steve West and Susana Abell, among others. The show also includes altered books from Turning the Page on Helene, which is a community therapeutic art project. An Exhibition Reception is set for Friday, October 9 from 5-8pm with live music by Jason Hite and light bites and beverages.
