Pittsboro's Finally Fridays Art Walks happen in downtown Pittsboro from 5pm-8pm every Third Friday along Hillsboro Street and the Social District. The free, family-friendly event brings shops onto the sidewalks and community artists together in Art Pods. In October, a Downtown Mask Parade for people and pets returns for its second year, gathering at 50 West Salisbury Street, in the Downtown Pop-Up Park, and ending with a costume contest on the SOCO patio. Face decorating, pumpkin painting, pet-focused vendors and a rescheduled ice cream eating contest round out the night. Visitors can buy an Arts Walk glass for drinks, browse galleries and shops, and meet artists and makers.
