About this event
The 2026 Mush, Music & Mutts Festival, known as the state's Official Fall Liver Mush Festival, fills Uptown Shelby on Saturday, October 17th, 9 AM to 4 PM. Featured on Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods, it celebrates liver mush, a local food staple. Highlights include a liver mush eating contest, a recipe contest and cook-off, live music, a Kids Zone and more than 90 vendors of food, drink and crafts. For the “Mutts” side, partner RollOver Pets runs K9 demos and trick shows, musical sit contests, and a pet costume parade and contest. Local producers serve liver mush sandwiches and dishes. Admission is free and pets are welcome.
