About

The music program at Queens University of Charlotte offers ensembles, lessons with faculty and regular performances of student compositions. Students study and perform in the renovated Gambrell Center for the Arts and Civic Engagement, home of the Sandra Levine Theatre, which also hosts visiting artists. Music majors compose their own work, and it's performed live during the academic year. The program has also staged the university's first conducting recital, in which a student assembled her own choir. Charlotte's wider music scene, including the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, gives students more chances to hear live performances. The campus sits in Charlotte's Myers Park Historic District.
