About
High Branch Brewing is an artisanal brewery run by a family, with taprooms in Concord (Gibson Mill Market) and downtown Mooresville, best known for its Hazy IPAs. The name reflects a goal of always reaching for the "higher branch" in beer quality. TJ, the founder, began home brewing in New Hampshire in 2009, and the brewery opened in November 2015 in a small corner of an old textile mill, becoming the first operating brewery in Concord. With its New England roots, it brewed styles that were unusual in NC at the time. The early taproom was no-frills and open only 3 days a week because demand outpaced supply, and the business grew by reinvesting over the following years.
