About
Sound Pure Studios is a professional recording studio complex in downtown Durham, NC, founded and still run by a small group of engineers, producers, musicians and composers devoted to making extraordinary recordings. Its multi-room facility centers on a live room of nearly 1,000 square feet, big enough for orchestral productions, and its acoustics combine exposed brick from the building's early 1900's shell with rough-sawn lumber and fabric overhead. The live room includes a Steinway grand, a Hammond B3 and vintage electric keyboards, and the large A control room also hosts recording seminars and clinics. Sound Pure handles tracking, mixing and mastering for whole projects or parts of them, along with sound effects, music for film, voiceovers and sound design, plus video shooting and editing. Its client list covers classical, jazz, rock and hip hop and includes Grammy Award winners.
