About
Weight Shift is a progressive sludge band from the southern Appalachian Mountains, started in 2021. Seth Hutchinson plays guitar and sings, Timothy Todd Cook plays drums and Brian Harris plays bass. The 2022 debut, Chaotic Hunters Rise, paired heavy riffs and grooving drums with sword & sorcery tales. The second record, Haled from Aether, arrived in the fall of 2024. It goes further into the band's influences, with many vocal styles, detailed drum patterns and shifting riffs, and plays as one complete concept about chaos let loose, like Pandora's box.
