- Coastal PlainRegion
About
Orringer Auditorium on the New Bern campus of Craven Community College hosts part of the college's Explorations in the Arts series, which brings performers from across North Carolina and mixes live shows with Q&A and audience participation. A recent season included a bluegrass concert at Orringer by Dear MariBella and the Pigkickers, a band of four siblings formed in 2022 whose music draws on the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Carolina coast. The group has opened for Sam Bush and played MerleFest and the North Carolina Folk Festival.
