About
Eric Bannan is a Pittsboro, NC, songwriter and storyteller whose shows mix personal stories, dry humor and a soulful voice. His music starts in folk, picks up a funk groove and adds some blues. A US Coast Guard rescue flight crew veteran, he has performed for over 40 years. He tours the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states, taking his stories and improvisation to festivals, faith communities and front porches, with the aim of inspiring people and building community. His 2021 CD Sacred Spaces pairs singer/songwriter material with vocal improvisation. Songwriter Jonathan Byrd said of it, "The whole album is outstanding."
