About
Beth Lee is an Americana and bluegrass artist grounded in tradition and devoted to lyrical storytelling. She grew up hearing Washington, D.C. bluegrass, including the Seldom Scene and the Country Gentlemen, and her writing draws on her Austin, Texas Hill Country roots and on her Western North Carolina home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A rhythm guitarist and lead singer, she toured Southeast festivals with the Cracked Wheat Bluegrass Band, then turned to focusing on her own songs, and in 2018 she took first place at MerleFest in the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition.
