About
Big Daddy Love (BDL) is a four-piece band from Winston-Salem, NC whose mix of rock, bluegrass, southern soul and psychedelic jamming the members have long called “Appalachian Rock.” All four can handle nearly any style of American music, so the band resists a single genre label. The quartet has logged more than a thousand shows around the country and put out four CDs, the latest being This Time Around and Live at Ziggy’s. It has played rooms of every size, from small coffee houses with listening rooms up to the PNC Arena in Raleigh, which seats 20,000, and its festival history runs from local favorite The Big What to Bristol Rhythm & Roots and FloydFest. A loyal community of fans, the extended BDL family, follows the band to shows across the southeast.
