About
Dale Baker is a drummer best known for playing in Sixpence None the Richer. With the band he made five albums, earned award nominations including two Grammys, and had three Top-Ten singles: "Kiss Me," "There She Goes" and "Breathe Your Name." In 2013 he joined the core touring band of Big Star's Third Live, a concert celebration of Big Star's music with guests from Wilco, The Posies, REM and others. He has also played with Aimee Mann, Bobby McFerrin, Blake Mills, Van Dyke Parks and Benmont Tench, and has toured with BJ Barham, Kate Rhudy, Matt Maher, American Aquarium and North Carolina figures Mitch Easter, Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple. He is also a regular pit drummer for the Raleigh theater scene, playing shows for Theater Raleigh, NC State, NC Theater, Playmakers Repertory Theatre and NC Conservatory. Artists in many genres rely on him, and he is comfortable on almost any stage.
