About
Eleanor Underhill is an Asheville, North Carolina singer, songwriter and producer, who founded and still plays in two bands, Eleanor Underhill & Friends and Underhill Rose. Her songwriting has produced eight albums in total, recognition across the Americana, folk and indie-rock worlds, and tours from coast to coast in the USA plus three trips to the UK and Ireland. In 2014 she formed Eleanor Underhill & Friends and built a home studio to record and produce her own music. Navigate the Madness (2018), the first album she produced herself, was named a “Top 100 Album” by 88.7 WNCW and a “Top 10 Local Release” by The Mountain Xpress. Land of the Living (2020) followed, with American Songwriter premiering “Strange Chemistry.” In 2021 UNC-TV aired an Echo Sessions concert by the band, and in 2022 she released Got it Covered, an all-covers album that the Roots Music Report rated 5 Stars. She plays guitar and piano and also took up trombone when young.
