About
Lyle de Vitry is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music moves in cycles. He pairs detailed, ambient fingerpicked guitar with a soft baritone voice, drawing listeners into a calm, present state. His songs blend the warmth of folk with the emotional release and care of classical writing, shifting between harmony and dissonance, voice and instruments. In 2023 the Telluride Troubadours contest picked him as a finalist, one of ten, and he was runner-up at the NewSong LEAF Singer-Songwriter Competition. In Asheville, NC, he finished the Residency at 821 run by Lamplight AVL. His debut album, Door Within a Dream, was set for release in August 2024, with an instrumental album planned to follow.
