About
Lyn Koonce is a vocal artist, coach and facilitator for whom music is a way of building community and connection. She draws on 25 years of work as a singer-songwriter, music director, vocal coach and educator. As Principal of Lyn Koonce Music she runs Circle Sounds, offering interactive group programs, workshops, keynotes and one-on-one coaching, and her study with Bobby McFerrin, Musica do Circulo and Music for People shapes that work. She also consults for ArtsNOW, helping classroom teachers bring the arts into their lessons. Lyn believes everyone is naturally creative, and she performs her own music in listening rooms and venues. Her degrees, a BM in Music Education and an MM in Choral Conducting, were both earned at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She lives in Greensboro, NC.
