About
Teens in Trouble is the creative project of Lizzie Killian, an Asian-American singer, guitarist and songwriter known for catchy hooks, heavy guitars and direct lyrics. Killian, a California native, moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2019 and wrote the band's self-titled debut EP during the pandemic in Asheville, returning to songwriting after a long break. Singles from that 2022 EP, “I’m Not Worried” and “Decomposing,” were featured in Fortnite. In 2023 the band shared a split EP with Desert Mambas on Kill Rock Stars and Asian Man Records, and in 2024 it released its first full-length album, What’s Mine, on Asian Man Records, drawing praise from Consequence, Paste Magazine, UPROXX and Stereogum along with SiriusXM and college radio play. The band has played showcases at Hopscotch Music Festival, SXSW and Treefort Music Fest, toured the US and Canada, and finished its first Japan tour in 2026.
