About
An Asheville, NC psychedelic indie rock group, The Get Right Band formed in 2011 around guitarist, singer and songwriter Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry, who have played together since middle school. Durocher is a trained composer commissioned by symphonies and chamber groups; drummer Jaze Uries and keyboardist Chuck Lichtenberger round out the group. American Songwriter hears 60's/70's psychedelia and 90's alternative rock filtered through a modern lens, and the band has grown into a hook-driven, synth-heavy pop/rock/psych act. It has shared stages with Dr. Dog, Everclear, Cracker and UB40, appeared on NPR's World Cafe and Paste Studio, and played The Fillmore, Brooklyn Bowl, The Orange Peel, FloydFest and Bristol Rhythm & Roots. The catalog spans five studio albums, a live album and singles, most recently iTopia.
