About Lewisville
Lewisville is a Piedmont Triad town in the western and northwestern part of Forsyth County. It was incorporated in 1991. U.S. Route 421 crosses the southern part of town, leading east about eleven miles to downtown Winston-Salem and west toward Wilkesboro. That highway is proposed to become part of a future interstate, and another planned route would pass along the town’s outskirts. Public schools are run by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools district, and Lewisville Elementary School is in town, as is Forsyth Country Day School, a private school for kindergarten through twelfth grade. Notable people tied to Lewisville include NASCAR drivers Austin and Ty Dillon, professional skateboarder Neal Hendrix and Negro League baseball player Hubert Country Glenn. Source: Wikipedia

Teacher’s remarks
The Ray Arts Index gives extra weight to local government support and arts education, because public investment in the arts, and in teaching it, is how creative communities grow.
