About
Sleepy Fest is a music festival presented by the Sleepy Cat label. Its first two editions were held in Hillsborough and the next two in Saxapahaw; for its fifth anniversary in 2026 it moves to downtown Durham as Cattyrompus, a Halloween celebration staged with The Pinhook and Rubies. The day runs in two parts: an afternoon and evening of bands at both venues, then a late-night dance party with DJs, drag performers and visual artists, hosted by local drag queens. The lineup mixes Sleepy Cat artists with friends from outside the label across folk, Americana, electronic, punk and more. Extras include a live-scored puppet show, a costume contest, mask making, DIY t-shirt printing and a silent disco parade.
