About
Bull City Music School Summer Camp comes from the school Jeanetta Powell founded in 2017 as a sanctuary where children are seen, celebrated and challenged, and where they can receive classical training without cultural erasure. The school shapes teaching around each student's pace and learning style, and its young musicians perform in recitals, before adjudicators, with master teachers and in the community. It teaches that musicianship carries a responsibility to lift others and serve through art, and it aims to build confidence, creativity and cultural pride. Its summer camp invites students to learn an instrument, advance their skills and make lasting friends.
