About
Open Door Studios Foundation, also called the Open Door Dance Foundation, began in 2012 out of Open Door Studios, a dance studio founded in 2007 for dancers of every age. The foundation helps dancers reach their education and career goals through classes, scholarships and chances to perform. It has given more than $20,000 to help dancers attend university programs, summer intensives or private studios. Its programs include Inspire Inclusion Dance for dancers with and without disabilities, with studio, community and online classes and inclusive shows; the ODDF Youth Ensemble, a performing group of students ages 9 to 19; a growing black box theater and studio space; and a choreographic residency that hosts five choreographers.
