About
Triangle Youth Ballet is a nonprofit ballet repertory company with its own school, training dancers from age three through adult. Its founder, Ms. Lorentz de Haas, a North Carolina native who trained at Virginia Intermont College and the North Carolina School of the Arts and earned an MA in dance from UNC-Greensboro, started the company to serve young aspiring dancers and has directed it since 1995. Faculty include Kate, a Fordham/Alvin Ailey program alum who toured with the acrobatic dance company Galumpha; her choreography has been staged several times at the Southeast festival of Regional Dance America, and she has taught at TYB since 2007.
