About
Oak and Grist is a gin and whiskey distillery in Asheville, founded in 2015 to make a regionally inspired single malt. All of its spirits are made from scratch, starting with barley grown and malted within 60 miles, drawing on the traditions of Scotland and Appalachia and the example of mentor Edwin Dodson. The lineup includes a Genever-Inspired Gin made with eight botanicals, an American Malt Whiskey and a Single Malt Whiskey. It is one of the few 100% grain-to-glass distilleries in North Carolina and supports local farmers, craftspeople and nonprofits.
