About
The Tryon Theatre is a movie house that is independently owned, with first come, first served seating and a balcony reserved for guests 21 and older. The box office opens thirty minutes ahead of every showing. At the concession stand, the popcorn is fairly priced and the classic theatre candy runs from Goobers, Raisinets and Junior Mints to Twizzlers, Milk Duds and Sour Patch Kids, with beer, wine, seltzers and fountain drinks to wash it down. The theatre can also be rented for film parties, business events and fundraisers, and the staff welcome other ideas within reason.
