About

The Greenville Museum of Art uses the visual arts to inspire and educate people and bring them together, using its collection, exhibitions and programs. It aims to welcome everyone and to promote artists of all backgrounds, especially those long overlooked or marginalized in the art and museum world. Exhibitions and public programs are meant to spark critical thought and dialogue, and the museum seeks out partnerships for exhibitions, events and educational outreach. Exhibitions have included H2O26, guest curated by Lisa Beth Robinson, in which invited artists, researchers and collaborators look at our relationship with water through many mediums, artifacts and rescued materials, and a Commons Gallery show of multidisciplinary artist Duke Riley, whose work deals with urban waterways and overdevelopment.
