North Carolina Music Hall of Fame

600 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28081

About

The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in Kannapolis celebrates musicians from across the state, from early pioneers to today's stars. Each inducted artist has an exhibit, and the museum holds memorabilia from their careers. Interactive displays let you hear songs and watch videos as you walk through, and a QR code on every inductee exhibit opens more history, music and concert footage on your phone. The nonprofit was incorporated in 1994 and opened its Kannapolis museum on June 1, 2009. New members are honored at an annual induction ceremony that is open to the public. Admission is free during regular weekday hours, and donations are welcome. Schools and private groups can book tours by appointment, including after hours and on weekends. The building is wheelchair accessible, with a free lot beside the entrance. Bags and drinks are not allowed on the display floor, and exhibits may not be touched. The museum shares its open space with Curb Motorsports, so visitors can also see NASCAR and other race vehicles on display.
