About
Rowan Museum preserves and interprets the past of Rowan County, from its earliest people to the present. Using artifacts from its collection and historic sites ranging from colonial times to the industrial era, it shows visitors how people lived in the county and the wider Piedmont. Its work includes exhibitions, education programs, research and historical reenactments, and the museum looks after four historic properties in the county. It also runs a monthly History Club, where history lovers of every level gather for expert-led talks and discussion on a wide range of topics.
