About
Village Craftsmen, on historic Howard Street on Ocracoke Island, has sold fine American-made handcrafts since 1970 and has grown into one of the leading craft galleries on the Outer Banks; shoppers find pottery, wooden kitchen utensils, jewelry, soaps, bells, prints, kaleidoscopes and pewter. Surrounded by old live oaks and family cemeteries, the gallery joins a love of quality craft with a deep attachment to island history and culture, and it also runs evening ghost walks that share the island's history and ghostly tales.
