About
Piedmont Players Theatre (PPT) is a community theatre in Salisbury, NC, that stages plays and offers theatre-arts education for children and adults, with the goal of opening theatre to everyone. It started in 1961 as the idea for a "little theater," with early shows at Knox Junior High School. In 1995 it moved into the restored Meroney Theater, and in 2010 it opened the Norvell Theater for all-youth productions. With the help of many volunteers and donors, PPT has grown from a small circle of local artists into a Salisbury institution, producing award-winning shows, launching education programs and giving diverse voices a stage.
