About
NCMEA has spoken for music education in the state since 1970. It works to advance music education so that everyone can understand and make music. The association offers opportunities for students, supports better music teaching, and encourages collaboration, diversity and leadership in the field. It provides resources for teachers, parents and administrators and advocates for music education locally, statewide and nationally. Each year NCMEA hosts the state's largest professional development conference for music educators along with all of its student music events.
