About
SIFAA works to preserve and promote South Indian classical arts in North Carolina. It gives renowned South Indian performing artists a stage for high quality concerts, while nurturing aspiring community artists through collaboration and performance opportunities. Carnatic music sits at the center of its work to build cultural awareness, and SIFAA puts special effort into encouraging younger musicians. With many practitioners and teachers living in the RTP area, it runs a music competition every year, inviting judges from India and across the US.
