    About

Brooklyn Arts Music Academy (BAMA) is a music school in Wilmington, North Carolina, that welcomes students of every age and skill level. Christina Brier, a harpist, and Linda Estep, a violinist, friends who began music together in kindergarten in Milwaukee, launched it in September 2018 together with Tamara Smith, Patricia Kopchick and Clark Spencer on the founding board. BAMA offers early-childhood music classes, private lessons and group classes on instruments from violin to piano, plus lessons and ensembles for adults. Its Music Is Life! effort, built on a preschool program and lesson scholarships, aims to help children gain confidence and joy through music.
