About
Chowan Arts Council has operated in Edenton since September 21, 1976, and since 2019 has owned its building next to Edenton's waterfront park, known as Your Community Arts Center. The gallery sells wall art and functional work such as pottery, jewelry, wood work and metal sculpture, plus locally knitted items, and new pieces go up almost every week. The member-supported nonprofit creates chances to take part in and enjoy visual, literary and performing arts across Chowan County, offering space for display and performance, with volunteers keeping it running.
