About
The Western North Carolina Sculpture Center aims to inspire people to make and appreciate sculpture that is in harmony with the Blue Ridge Mountains landscape. Its 12-acre site lies in the Yadkin River Valley, and its studio is a gymnasium of about 10,000 sq. ft. at Happy Valley, N.C., on Patterson School Foundation land, whose 30 ft ceilings let sculptors work at large scale. More than 100 sculptures line its free sculpture trail. The center hosts artist residencies, internships, workshops and public events throughout the year.
