580 WKSK Live Old Time and Bluegrass Show: Gap Civil

About this event

On Saturday, December 12 at 11 AM, the WKSK radio program of old time and bluegrass broadcasts live from the Ashe Civic Center, featuring Gap Civil with host Tom Hartman. The monthly show costs nothing to attend, donations are welcome, and accessible seating and parking are available at the center. Gap Civil, an Appalachian Mountain Music band formed in 2017 in Sparta, NC, follows a motto of honor and innovate: it respects mountain traditions while writing original songs, tunes and arrangements that mix oldtime, country, bluegrass and Americana for flatfooting or a two-step. Todd Hiatt plays guitar, Chris Johnson banjo and bass, Lucas Pasley fiddle and vocals, and Kyle Dean Smith bass and lead guitar.
