About this event
Gregg Gelb leads the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra in an evening of film music, joined by special guest Trinity Bursey, who wrote and narrates JazzTales. Doors open at 6:30PM with concessions from the MANN Center for the Arts, and the show starts at 7:30PM, with a 15 minute intermission around 8:15PM. The program draws on The Lion King, Superman, Beauty and the Beast, Hunting Rabbits and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, among others. Each group receives a free copy of the CD JazzTales presents: Lamar the Super Guitar. Dr. Gregg Gelb started the nonprofit orchestra in 1990, and it plays big band music from the 1930’s to today around the Central NC region.
