About
Artsplosure has produced outdoor programs and large festivals since its debut festival in April 1980, featuring thousands of visual, performing and interdisciplinary artists, both established and emerging, in indoor and outdoor settings. Its signature event is Artsplosure - The Raleigh Arts Festival. Other events it has produced include Live & Local Hillsborough Street, First Night Raleigh, the African American Cultural Festival, and the Jazz & Blues Music Festival. It also supplies artistic programming and production help to other events, among them IBMA's Wide Open Bluegrass, J. Cole's Dreamville Music Festival and the 4th of July fireworks at Dix Park. Its aim is to bring work by imaginative artists to the public and deepen affection for visual and performing arts.
