About
Legacy Theater & Music Company is a community theater and music studio based near Monroe–Stallings in Union County, started in 2020 by Jessica Forwerck. It casts shows with adults, teens and children, plus mixed-age ensembles, and offers private lessons and group classes for every skill level. Mainstage musicals have included Sweeney Todd, Godspell and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the company is known for fresh, diversely cast takes on Shakespeare. Young performers appear in Broadway Junior shows such as Matilda Jr. and Into the Woods Jr., and a troupe represents the county at JTF Atlanta. Legacy keeps tuition low and offers scholarships, and it is working toward a larger permanent home.
