About
Studio3 is a music school for children that teaches in a classical way: students learn to read and write music, along with notation and theory, which lets them go on to any style, and they even write their own pieces. Performance is taught as part of the art, and the school encourages children to give their music to listeners as a gift. Students play for one another in the school's auditorium and at festivals, civic groups, competitions and school concerts. Teachers also build mixed ensembles of different instruments. The school year runs from just after Labor Day to mid-May, and the school stages two large concerts a year, including an End of the Year Concert. Studio3 also offers music programs and events that the public can attend free.
