About
TheGifted Arts offers youth arts education through a leveled curriculum for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Young people train in dance, music, step, theater and spoken word, and the teaching is culturally responsive, honoring traditions of Black and Brown communities. The organization works to remove barriers that limit access to the arts and representation in them, and to dismantle systems of oppression through art. On top of technical skill, it aims to build young artists' self-worth, confidence and drive, and to bring more artists of color into the professional arts.
