    About

Trillium Arts works to strengthen communities in the Blue Ridge Mountains through educational and cultural programs that build appreciation for the arts within a natural setting. At the center of its work is an artist residency, which gives artists time, space and support to make new work and test new ideas, seeing a residency as a lab for artistic research and development. The organization encourages conversation between its guest artists and local and regional audiences, values freedom of expression, and says its programs welcome everyone, whatever their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, income or where they live. It plans to build future facilities with ADA accommodations and recognizes the Cherokee people as the original stewards of the land.
