About

Pine Crest Inn is an inn in the Village of Pinehurst with a restaurant and a neighborhood bar, serving breakfast and dinner every day and a breakfast buffet on Sundays. Mrs. E. C. Bliss opened it on November 1, 1913. In 1921 golf course architect Donald J. Ross and his friend W. J. MacNab bought it, and they owned it until Ross died in 1948. Carl Moser, a hotelier with a Waldorf-Astoria background, built its reputation for food in the 1950s, and the Barrett family bought it in May 1961 and runs it today. Open year-round, the inn hosts more than 7,500 guests a year and appeals to golfers, couples on weekend getaways and business groups.
