About this event

This beginner class teaches safe, efficient use of hand and power tools, how different woods behave, and core techniques such as cutting, shaping, joining and finishing, ending with a small finished project. The instructor demonstrates and then supervises hands-on practice to build skills for later projects. Each day of class lasts from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friends of the Museum pay $180; the standard fee is $200. The class has few spots, everyone must be 16 or older, and signing up ahead is required.
