About
From 2012 until it closed at the end of 2025, Judson Theatre Company, based in Pinehurst, was the sole professional theatre troupe in Moore County. Over 12 seasons it presented musicals and plays at Bradshaw Performing Arts Center as the Professional Theatre Company in Residence, including mainstage shows in Owens Auditorium and a summer festival in the McPherson Theatre. Its casts featured Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe winners and nominees, from a 2012 Love Letters with Tab Hunter and Joyce DeWitt to Love Letters with Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl in 2025. An education program begun in 2016 offered free student matinees, discussions and master classes in Moore County high schools. The company won the NC Theatre Conference's Parides Award in 2016.
