About
Ward Melville founded Scottish Heritage USA in 1965 to strengthen the ancestral ties between the people of Scotland and the United States. It invites anyone of Scottish descent or with an interest in Scotland to join in exchanging ideas and people between the two countries, and it plans to build a world class Discovery Center for research, learning and cultural engagement. Members gather at its tent at Highland Games, including the Scotland County Highland Games, where it received a Scottish Organization Recognition Award. Outlander author Diana Gabaldon is a patron member.
